- Do I have to use a GMC dealer to service my truck?
- No. Routine maintenance and most repairs can be done at an independent shop like ours. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act means using us does not void your factory warranty as long as quality parts are installed, which is exactly what we do. The dealer is one choice among several.
- Will servicing my GMC here affect the factory warranty?
- No, not for normal maintenance and repairs with quality parts. Federal law protects your right to pick your own shop. We give you records and receipts so your warranty stays good. If a problem is actually covered under warranty, we will let you know so you can decide.
- Is GMC really the same as Chevy underneath?
- For most models, the Sierra and Silverado and many of the SUVs share engines, transmissions, and a lot of the mechanical hardware. That works in your favor at a shop like ours, because we know these platforms well and parts are easy to get. The badge differs more than the bones do.
- Do you work on the Duramax diesel and heavy-duty Sierras?
- Yes. We service GMC's gas V6 and V8 engines and work on diesel trucks, including the heavier-duty Sierra models. We have the diagnostic tools for a modern GM and we service light and medium-duty trucks and vans. Tell us your truck and we will go from there.
- Can you diagnose a check engine light on my GMC?
- Yes. We read all the codes, then do hands-on testing to confirm the real cause instead of guessing. We call you with a plain-language rundown and a written estimate, and the scan is free if we do the repair.
- Can you get GMC parts without going to the dealer?
- Yes. We source quality parts through our NAPA network and can get most GM parts quickly, often the same hardware that goes on a Chevy. For many repairs a quality replacement part is just as good as the dealer part. If a job calls for OEM, we will say so.
- Do you handle alignments and tires for trucks that tow?
- Yes. Towing and hauling are hard on alignment and tires, so we set the alignment to spec and match tires in the correct load range for what you actually pull. Getting both right protects your tires and your truck under load.
- Is an emissions test required for a GMC in Trumbull County?
- No. Trumbull County is not in Ohio's E-Check area, so there is no local emissions test requirement. We can still scan and repair a check engine light on your GMC.
