Tires · Question

How long does it take to get new tires installed?

Answered by Super Tire & Muffler · Updated June 19, 2026

Short answer

A standard set of four tires takes about 45 to 60 minutes to mount, balance, and install. Add a wheel alignment and plan on closer to an hour and a half. At Super Tire & Muffler in Cortland, OH, calling ahead or booking online keeps the wait short. Most customers wait in the lobby.

What the time covers

The clock includes dismounting your old tires, mounting and computer-balancing the new ones, new valve stems, torquing the lug nuts to spec, and a TPMS check. Rushing any of those is how vibrations and slow leaks start, so we do it right rather than fast.

If we find a seized lug, a corroded wheel, or a TPMS sensor that needs replacing, that can add time. We will tell you first, and anything extra is your call.

Can I just drop it off?

Yes. Walk-ins are welcome, and you are also free to leave the vehicle and we will call when it is ready. Booking an appointment online or by phone is the surest way to get in and out quickly, especially on Saturdays and during the spring and fall tire rush.
